C brought me to this place when I went over to Raffles Place for dinner.

The multi-grain rice was so wholesome and the sides were fantastic. I loved the way they did their fishcake banchan. The beef was fine as well but the highlight was the banchan for me.

Hyang Yeon Korean Restaurant 

I love hanging out with like-minded (and like-tummied) friends. At G’s recommendation, we tried out this place at 80 Amoy Street. She recommended the dak galbi with cheese, and we got the bossam as well as many other dishes.

This was a little bit of what we had: Pajeon, naengmyun, jajjangmyun sundubu chigae, and kimchigae

We dug up an excuse and went for a meal with mummy. Jie was craving naengmyun so I brought them here. I couldn’t remember if Superstar K has naengmyun so I didn’t dare bring them.

A friend of mine tried it before and it looked pretty good. R mentioned that the noodles were clumpy but I’m glad I went ahead. Beyond the clumpiness of the noodles, the sauces were a perfect balance of spicy and refreshing.

The clumps were easily separated after some mixing and all was good.

One of the best naengmyun cold soups I’ve had in Singapore.

Jiejie is the one to be credited for our awesome Korean dinners. She’s the one who dares to cook up a storm. I prefer things to be easily cleaned up and simple. So thanks to her, I get to enjoy awesome food at home because mommy doesn’t cook.
